PIXEL SAFARI

An Immersive Interactive Adventure Where Light Comes Out To Play

I created one illustration for this concept (above), and I produced a short video teaser (below description) using available assets online.

Description

Players enter a light jungle to search for and capture rare species of light. They will be given a magical amulet or gemstone bracelet they can wear on their wrist or hold in their hand. This is a rich habitat where creatures made of light dwell and the flora and fauna glow in prolific patterns and colors, allowing some of these creatures to hide very effectively. There is a bioluminescent forest, a rainforest and a pixie forest, among other biomes.

Guests will use their amulets to point at and select colors and creatures that will disappear from where they are captured and appear inside their amulet, depending on the game. More points will be awarded for the more difficult creatures to find and capture.

Examples of games:

  1. 1. Inside a cabin in the pixie forest, the pixies have left a light puzzle on the table. They have mischievously hidden the shapes of light throughout the cabin that need to be found and placed in the proper puzzle slot to make up a final light painting. Players find them, collect them in their amulet and try the slot on the puzzle they think it belongs in.

  2. 2. Compete to collect the right colors to mix them and transmit your color to cover an entire forest section before your opponent covers it with their color.

  3. 3. Dark trolls are eating light creatures in this section of the jungle. Find them and capture them inside your amulet to collect points. You’ll see and hear the troll inside your amulet trying to get out.

  4. 4. Aim to stop your color from dripping off vines and falling into the bioluminescent stream.
